Yesterday I worked out at our local YMCA for the first time in about two months. And I went to my first Weight Watchers meeting since September 10. I am trying to get my health back on track after a very stressful fall with various child health emergencies.
This workout selfie was taken after completing Week 1, Day 1 of the Couch to 5K plan. It was super easy. I felt good during and after! It feels pretty amazing to be breaking a sweat again at our good ol’ smelly Y.
I tend to cocoon during stress and eat nasty good food like McDonald’s and Halloween candy by the fistful and the only exercise I want to do is take long walks with my dog.
What do you do when life hands you a steaming pile of crap? Lately all I’ve been able to manage is to shovel fries in my mouth, put on my robe, and scroll through Facebook.
Today I declare that I will do better. Wish me luck.
